Hey guys just found this forum too, I also got a customer service position but haven't received my contract or call about the meet and greet day? Has everyone else got this?

Have you been given your start date yet? I was all paranoia because I thought it was taking forever for my contract to arrive. But they're just completely up to their eyes getting everything set up. It'll come. Don't worry.

My start date is two weeks after the lads, and I haven't gotten a call inviting me to the meet & greet. I'd imagine there are going to be quite a few of these.

Kick in the stones alright. As you're possibly gonna be offered it as a perk. Well, the staff in the U.K. get it for free. So I would imagine/ assume that we'll be getting it as well.

I'll be a technical advisor, so will probably be getting referred from you or vice versa :P

Also, my start date isn't until the 7th of January (seems miles off, but I know it'll creep up) so won't be hearing about my meet and greet for a while. Just happens to be an awkward date for finding a place for me and the other half to live with the holidays just before, will probably end up finding a place before Christmas but leaving it somewhat empty until I'm starting. Anyone else having the same problems if they're starting on the 7th?

For the phone & broadband? My understanding is that it's gonna be a separate team/ teams for that, from the tv teams.

Well, the aptitude test I sat for the role was solely regarding Internet technology, so I'd imagine I'd be supporting phone and broadband for sure. Whether I'll be supporting tv customer too, I don't know yet

Ah yes. But when they made the job offer, did they say it was for phone & broadband? Or for the tv? Just curious.

They didn't specify. I suppose I'll know more clearly once I get my contract and written offer. Either way, I'd like either task really. I do have a keen interest in computers but I'm sure I'd be fine for helping with TV problems :)

Cool. Was jut wondering. I did the aptitude test as well, and they specifically asked me to do the phone & broadband technical advisor role.

I think it's already been mentioned, but you'll be spoken to individually by 4 people. They'll be assessing you in a different manner, after asking you on your work and education history at the beginning. There's no magic trick or preparation needed, just be communicative and google the STAR interview method and you should be fine :)

    Hey, congrats everyone.

I have a few queries that I emailed them with last week but I got no response. They are things I need to know a.s.a.p. for the purposes of signing off the Live Register, as well as avoiding the death trap a.k.a. Emergency Tax. My questions were:

    1) When will I receive my first pay cheque from Sky?

    2) How much will my first pay cheque be?

    3) What is their PAYE Registered Number?

    4) Will those of us starting on October 22nd be working the bank holiday Monday 29th?

I have heard nothing back. Starting to get a bit anxious now because I want to inform my local social welfare office sooner rather than later, so I know what supports I will have while awaiting my first pay cheque, and whether I need to make alternative arrangements or not.
