Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

they have the same engines both a far heavier back end on the 6255 , the 62 would also be a harder tractor overall

I think the 4355 is its replacement( exhaust moved to cab. different gear shuttle 24x24 or 16x16 not too sure) the 6200 series is just another bigger series they have similar power in the lower sizes ie. 6255 and 4255 same HP but the 6200 series goes up into larger 6cyl engines such as the 6290. the 6200 series is supposed to be a lot better than the 6100 series it replaced.

    300-4200-4300-5400 series (Current)

    3000 - 6100 - 6200 - 6400 series (Current)

thers was always a crossover in size but the 3000 - 6100 - 6200 - 6400 always went up to bigger 6 cylinder engines where as the 300-4200-4300-5400 were generally 4cyl with maybe one 6cly topping the range.

yea the 6200 series is supposed to be a better tractor from a back end point of view and a generally not much more to buy than a 25 year old 300 series.

My choice would be the 6265 4 cyl. Confusingy the 6260 is a 6 cyl as is the 6270, 6280, 6290.

    hope that helps

    it was:
    300-4200/4300-5400 series (Current)
the 4200 and 4300 were made at the same time, the 4200 was made on coventry and the 4300 were made in france. The 4300 was higher spec with more electronics, and a different gear box. not sure if the engines were different.

4400 series replaced the 4300. The 5400 is a different series all together dont think it replaced anything. have a 4255 great machine lots of power to it

very hard to know what replaces the 4200/4300 series. as the 4400 does not have a 6cyl and is a very limited range. the 5400 seems like more of a replacement hard to know.

the 4400 is actually a valtra branded as a MF and are pretty basic. We have a 4245, great loader tractor. never let us down.
