    Westmen | 10 | 1 | 9 | 0 | 124 | 384 | -260 | 0 | 0 | 4

Well what can I say. The four top teams have all won 7 and lost 3 and are only seperated by bonus points earned throughout the season. Only 4 points seperate first place Cossieschoice from 4th place Mayo Migrants. The Migrants are only a point off the 3rd placed Chocolate Chompers and Revan are only a point off the top. With 3 trophies and 2 promotion spots up for grabs hopefully the excitement will continue to the last game of the league. The bottom 4 are probably too far off the pace to compete for silverware but still have plently to play for in the pride stakes. Caseys Guinness and The Slashers are level on points in 5th and 6th place and only 3 points seperate Nanjing and Westmen at the bottom.

The big match in week 11 is the 1st against 2nd clach of Cossieschoice and Revan. With margins so tight at the top this could severely damage one of their seasons. The Slashers also host Casey's Guinness in what could be the pivotal match in seperating the two sides (my bets on the draw :p).

The trophy winners in division 3 have been confirmed as of week 11. All that is left is to decide in which order they finish and importantly ehich two teams get to play the slightly bigger boys in division 2 next season. Curly Sue Death Squad have been the pace setters for much of the season and remain top. Nipping at there heals are Men Who Stare at Goats and Kilsough South Warriors in what is a battle of the long names to type. Only 3 points seperate the teams going into the last 3 weeks. Wandering Wanderers and Reaper RFC have a relatively serene finish to the season in which they can't win a trophy and it would take a miracle to be relegated. Only one point seperate these 4th and 5th placed teams and so they can battle it out to finish in the top half and the bragging rights over the other into next season. Monkstown in 6th place are only a single point above the relegation zone and Westside in 7th will be desperate to overturn this slender lead to try stay in the division. Rath Rugby Club are bottom but can still avoid the drop. Unfortunately for them that means winning at least 2 of their remaining 3 games and hoping for Monkstown and Westside to lose all 3 of theirs.

MWSAG face a tough two weeks in rounds 12 and 13. firstly playing host to the leaders CSDS followed by travelling to KSW. These 2 matches will likely prove the decisive games in the three way battle at the top. Westside face KSW in week 12, the result of which will have huge effect on both the promotion race and relegation battle.

Cill have overtaken ELAT with a narrow win over scorched earth, with ELAT loosing to Fight club matching them in tries scored and line break, giving away A LOT of penalties like BJD. the top four have remained the same, but forza have scorched earth and mauling bear starting to nip at their heals after starting to pick up a few points after poor starts. BJD lost narrowly to Mauling bear this round despite outscoring them on tries, conceding too many penalties which undermined their performance.

    DIV III
is very uncompetitive which makes it boring, ie this season there are some teams who just can't break top 4 and some who even if they try not to would probably end up in top 4.

DIV II is largely the same I found, but there in lies the challange to me, get back there, survive and close the gap and fight my way up tooth and nail! Until then...stare out the window and look at team development and improve it... focusing on homegrown talent rather than buying in ready to go players...
I'm in the same position - bouncing between Divs II and III. I have a theory that if I can survive in II one season I'll be able to stay up permanently and challenge for fourth.
Looks like the ladyboys did me a favour against couch potatoes tonight. I'll be feeling some pressure to hold out BC Div 2 from here.

Ouch, got slaughtered by MWSAG tonight. Remembered too late in the day, set my tactics at 17.28 . The rush tactics change obviously did me no good, I should have left it on default, he was doing well enough so far.

Solid win for Kilsough too. Reckon it's currently...

    MWSAG - 50 pts
    Kilsough - 49 pts
    CSDS - 47 pts

I have Rath Rugby next week, so going to fight for a solid 5 points.
MWSAG are playing against Kilsough next week, so, the whole thing is STILL up for grabs in terms of promotion.

two teams get promoted and two relegated.

was out on Wednesday so did not set tactics or team and then in work late yesterday so default went out, lost 17-18, GAH BJD panthers picks up a win at my expense, sliding down the table now! 3 loses in a row - need to arrest this mid season slump :o

I'll do the table this evening folks!

Nah, a win for me would have made it impossible for you to take the gold, just as it's now impossible for me :D

Hey, not only did I not play my best player, I didn't remove any tired or poor-form players.

Still, think you would have had me regardless on this occasion. Doubt a few CSR swings would have got me the win.

2 get promoted, with three trophies.

Ok Table with round 9 included now. Apologies for that omission.

Things are tight now with mauling bear banging on the door of top 4. Fight club had a resounding win and have long secured first place in the Boards Tournament, so Congratulations to johnefitz on an impressive season. (I did struggle to think who Johnefitz was on boards til I found him... with his one post on boards to sign up for the tournament!! haha!)

Right places are still up for grabs, Cill play ELAT next round and then Forza in the final round, ELAT play Scorched earth in the final round also and Forza play BJD in next round, so 2-5 up for grabs with scorched earth an outside chance depending on results of moving up from 6th also. there are too many permutations to run through the possibilities this week, I will see how it all falls in round 13. The key match is Cill v ELAT. if Cill get a bonus point win they are safe in 2nd regardless of the final round results, Cill beat ELAT 28-3 earlier in the tournament so will be looking to secure that spot, and ELAT will be looking to remain in the race for second and revenge time.

This one will be tighter than a nuns $%^& over the next two round, all to play for and all to lose. squeaky bum time as ferguson coined in the premiership race.

    Watch this space!

I can still catch Cill Dara with two 5 point wins and stopping him getting a BP in the last game.

Going into the final 2 weeks of the Boards League season things keep hotting up in division 2. 2 wins each for Couch Potatoes and Bogwarriors in weeks 11 and 12 keep them in 1st and 2nd place respectively. However Bogwarriors closed the gap to a single point by gaining maximum points in both gameweeks. The big movers in the last two weeks were Toronto Irish who lost to the two teams that were below them in the table and have now overtaken them. Lunster have moved up into the medal places 5 points ahead of both Grubber and Toronto in 4th and 5th resperctively. The bottom 3 teams all lost both their games, however Ladyboys increased their chances in getting out of the relegation places with a try bonus point moving them to within 3 points of Gideons in 6th. Front Row Fairies are in desperate need of points realistically needing at least a win and a draw from their last 2 matches to be playing in division 2 next season.

There are tough matches in the coming weeks for both Bogwarriors and Couch Potatoes. Bogwarriors host Grubber next week, who in turn host Couch Potatoes in the final match. Couch Potatoes also face Toronto Rucks in week 13 while Bogwarriors finish up at Lunster. With Lunster facing an easier (no offence meant) tie against bottom placed Front Row Fairies in week 13 can they steal into the promotion places in the final two weeks? The Rucks play their final game against Gideons in week 13 looking to push back into the silverware places. Gideons host Ladyboys in week 13 in what is likely to decide the relegation battle between these two teams.

The top of the table clash between MWSAG and CSDS resulted in MWSAG moving to the top of the pile courtesy of the 14 bonus points they've accumulated during the season. CSDS's loss resulted in a drop out of the promotion places down to 3rd after KSW also won their week 12 match. The gap between 1st and 3rd is still only 4 points so all three places are up for grabs, although they are each gauranteed at least some silverware. WW and Reaper are continuing playing for pride alone secure in 4th and 5th place. Monstown grabbed a vital bonus point in against Reaper which increases the gap to relegation places to 6 points. Any sort of win in the final two weeks for Monkstown will spell the end to Westside's Div. 3 adventure. Rath will be playing their rugby in division 4 next season after theiir loss in week 12.

For the 2nd week running MWSAG are involved in a top of the table clash, this time against KSW. CSDS will be expecting to move back into the promotion places after hosting already relegated Rath. Westside are looking to save their season away to Reaper, while Monkstown will be looking to make the Westside result irrelevant away to WW.

Newcastle West are so nearly champions, leading the table by 10 points with two games remaining and having a healthy advantage in points difference. After the top spot things are so close that it's hurting my head trying to sort out the permutations. 2-4th are only seperated by point difference while 5th are only 2 points further back. This means that any of Dread0s, Fingal Physicians, East Coast Tinders or Rahoon Wild can finish in the 2nd promotion spot or 3rd trophy place. ECT will be kicking themselves for losing the chance to close the gap at the top by losing games in weeks 11 and 12 where Newcastle had a rest week. Dread0s are the only team in the top 5 to have played 11 games meaning despite currently residing in 2nd they are the most likely to miss out on one of the top 3 spots. Nenagh Ormond need to do what they haven't managed to do yet and register points in their last 2 games in order to catch Ulster Trials and avois the drop to division 5.

East Coast Tinders play their last game in week 13 away to top placed Newcastle West who will be looking to put the matter of securing the championship to rest. Nenagh Ormond face Ulster Trials in what is a must win and deny UT points match for the bottom side. Dread0's face the dreaded week off in week 13 while the match between Rahoon Wild and Fingal Physicians will have big ramifications on one of their abilities to challenge for honours.

Two losses in a row for Cossieschoice results in a drop from the top of the table out of the trophy positions to 4th. The battle for top spot now lies with Revan and Chocolate Chompers who both picked up maximum points in the last two weeks. The final trophy place is a three way battle between Mayo Migrants, Cossieschoice and Casey's Guinness. The Slashers maintain their mis-table comfort and are unlikely to move from 6th. Westmen scored their 2nd win of the season to move off the bottom and make it a real battle for pride between themselves and Nanjing going into the end of the season.

Revan play Westmen in week 13 while Chocolate Chompers a more difficult journey to Cossieschoice. Mayo Migrants host the Slashers while Casey's Guiness travel to bottom side Nanjing.
