Ugh lost by a point to Cill dara, they've secured 2nd spot now. just got to win next week for 3rd to be mine I think!
And a player dropped the ball over the line. gutted! good match though.

Good win tonight. Didn't concede a try.

You're the man for the table eoferrall but do i not get second when i beat Cill Dara with a BP next week?

Maybe you do, I am confused probably with the number of drafts I did last week to get it right!!

I'll do up the table now for you... hang on and all shall be revealed!

    Geraldine 13 1 0 12 217 504 -287 0 1 5

Heading into last round of fixtures, place 2-4 very much up for grabs. Forza play Cill and a bonus point win will nip that from Cill, Forza can thank ELAT for running Cill close for the opportunity as a bonus win this evening would have secured 2nd. ELAT plays Scorched earth who are out of the reckoning and secure from relegation, win will get third but second is out of reach as the winner of Forza v Cill will have second (losing/try bonus pts could decide it).

BJD and Geraldine are confirmed for relegation, hopefully they will bounce back stronger in a season, took a couple of scalps along the way. BJD certainly caught ELAT with his pants down last week costing him vital points lost in the race.

All in all an exciting finish to the season, the games to watch:
Cill v Forza (will HGA push across the line?!)
    Scorched Earth v ELAT

Finally Mauling bear is playing Geraldine, one has to on season performance assume they will secure the win and throw them into the mix for 4th position.

Tight one tonight! Kilshough could have clinched it toward the end...

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,746 ✭✭✭✭FewFew

I think, with my bonus point win over Rath... I secured 2nd.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,746 ✭✭✭✭FewFew

Sorry, I must have made a mistake, I thought last week was our last Boards Cup match.

I take back all my "I got 2nd!" etc. type talk, didn't realise there was a match next week. Wow, so it really is all to play for again! Eep!

Bogwarriors win against Grubber see them climb to the top of the table going into the final day as Couch Potatoes lost to Toronto. Lunsters win against the Fairies mean they are guaranteed a trophy along with Bogwarriors and Couch Potatoes but which team finishes where and which misses out on promotion is all to be decided in the final gameweek. Gideons beat Ladyboys to confirm their place in division 2 next season while Ladyboys and Front Row Fairies will be plying their trade in division 3.

The two important games in round 14 are Lunster at home to Bogwarriors and Grubber hosting the Potatoes.

Another table with the top 3 decided but not the order. MWSAG won a closely fought match against Kilsough to stay top. Curly Sue's win against Rath moves them up to 2nd despite Kilsough's losing bonus point. Westside's loss to Reaper confirm their relegation alongside Rath despite Monkstown's loss to Wanderers.

3 matches to decide the final top 3 positions in week 14 as CSDS host WW, MWSAG play Reaper and Kilsough travel to Monkstown. Rath play Westside in a match to take bragging rights down to div 4.

Congratulations to the confirmed champions Newcastle West who beat ECT in week 13. 2nd place and promotion is still up for grabs between 4 teams seperated by only 2 points. ECT's loss leaves them in 4th on 34 while Rahoon Wild's close fought win against Fingal Physicians leves them 2nd and 3rd respectively. On their off-week Dread0's dropped from 2nd to 5th. Nenagh Ormond are officially the only team relegated after their loss to Ulster trials, however they did manage to pick up their first points of the season.

Fingal play Dread0s and ECT play Rahoon as the 4 teams who are fighting for 2nd play 2 head to heads in an exciting last week.

The two teams to be promoted to division 4 are Revan and the Chompers but the div 5 championship goes to the final day. Mayo Migrants are confirmed and comfortable in the 3rd place trophy slot. There are still a few positions up for grabs lower down the table but as there is no relegation it's all about pride. As CG and Cossieschoice battle for 4th and Nanjing look to overtake Westmen at the bottom.

Revan are away to Caseys Guinness in the final game while Chocolate Chompers host 7th place Westmen. A Revan win secures the championship outright while a draw (without a bonus point) would leave Chompers needing a bonus point win to top the table.

Not feeling hugely confident against Wandering Wanderers tonight, they already have a lead and are unlucky not to be ahead by more.

Kilsough lost to Monkstown already as it was played in Polish time. 2 Horse race in div 3, which Crisco is winning atm*.

Oh really? Thought Kilsough would have had them, fecker that he is :p

Taken the lead in my one now, but only thanks to a peno, still get beaten on the park.

Looks like you'll have to settle for 2nd and promotion. MWSAG are very comfortable judging by the score.

Ah yeah, I'd have assumed they'd take the win. Managed to secure myself a bonus point at least, with 7 minutes to go and a converted try between us.

Edit: I can see this going badly. We have the lead, and for some reason we chance a drop goal rather than retaining possession. Fail. Now we have it back in our half.

    Geraldine 14 1 0 13 241 531 -290 1 1 6

Well what an end to the season, it came down to points difference to decide 3rd, 4th and 5th. right down the the last kick of the ball in the three games. Forza narrowly losing to Cill, if had scored another try to pick up bonus try would have secured 3rd. ELAT continuing the poor end to the season with the 5th loss in the boards cup on the bounce, picking up a losing bonus and a good start to the league giving superior point difference to forza and mauling bears to secure 3rd by the skin of their teeth. bears continued their second half push and narrowly beating Geraldine but needed the bouns try score to move into 3rd. great second half to the league from bears, whoever stirred them out of hiberation certainly angered them!!

Geraldine and BJD as expected in the last round or two are in relegation zone, but may get a stay of execution as Keogh (cill dara) is stepping out of the league for next season.

An exciting end to the season and this manager (ELAT) certainly was nervous checking the scores tonight, especially after seeing his narrow loss (which he blames on the default team and tactics being used as forgot it was thursday!!)

Lets hope for another close league next season, and that someone will get the win off fight club!

Well compared to division 1 this was all straight forward with no changes in position occuring in the final gameweek as the top placed Bogwarriors were the only team in the top 3 to win their match. Lunsters loss in the game against Bogwarriors meant Couch Potatoes, despite also losing remain 2nd.

Congrats to champions Bogwarriors, 2nd place Couch Potatoes and 3rd place Lunster on their trophies (and promotion for the first two)

Comisserations to Ladyboys and Front Row Fairies who are both relegated to division 3.

    Congratulations

Another league with no changes in the final gameweek. Maximum points for both MWSAG and CSDS meant that Kilsough can at least take solace in that avoiding their defeat to Monkstown wouldn't have helped their league position.

Congrats to champions Men Who Stare At Goats and 2nd placed Curly Sue Death Squad who both get to play in division 2 next season on top of their trophies. Congrats also go to 3rd place trophy winners Kilsough South Warriors.

Westside and Rath Rugby Club will unfortunately be playing in division 4 next season.

With Necastle west already champions and promoted and Nenagh Ormond relegated all eyes were on the two matches that would decide which of the four teams would take the 2nd and 3rd place tropies. A bonus point win for East Coast Tinders over Rahoon Wild gave them the edge over therir opposition to move from 4th to 2nd, while Fingal Physicians secured victory against the Dread0s but not the bonus point leaving them 1 point behind in 3rd. Rahoon will be dissapointed to drop from 2nd to outside the trophies in 4th on the final day while the 0s remain 5th.

Congrats on the trophy and promotion to champions Newcastle West and 2nd place East Coast Tinders and further congrats to Fingal Physicians on their 3rd place trophy.

Wished of better luck next season to relegated Nenagh Ormond.

The last league to get the table updated and reviewed and also the only league to give us some last day excitement involving the race for the championship. This was bad news for Revan who's loss to Casey's Guinness left the door open to Chocolate Chompers who needed no tired cliche to secure maximum points and the div 5 championship. Mayo Migrants secures a trophy of their own. Nanjing gained a little pride in moving off the bottom of the table by beating the Slashers.

Congrats to champions Chocolate Chompers and 2nd place Revan RFC on their trophy and promotion parties and also top 3rd place Mayo Migrants.
