first: you are taxed on it

second: you can either get a set amount every year for a number of years
or one full payment which is drastically reduced.

but I'm sure somebody will be delighted to win it - although I would imagine it bringing nothing but grief.

You couldn't actually spend that amount as a single person or even a large family. I'd end up spending about €200,000 per year.

But i wouldnt mind to find out myself whether it is true or not.
