Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi - I'm not very good technically and I get frustrated looking at specs etc so hopefully someone here can make a few suggestions for me.

    I'm looking for a new phone, I am happy to go with a new provider too. What I need;

    Not too expensive, will go with bill pay but cannot tie into a contract.
    Good camera and video.
    Internet

    Size doesn't really matter, extra features like music etc don't interest me. A good camera and the ability to surf the net and I'll be happy.

    On a pay as you go plan it is yes. I would hope to spend less than 150. I think I might be asking a bit much.

    If I'm looking for a decent camera and video - it doesn't have to be amazing, just one that translates well to screen, what should I look out for?

    If I want to surf the net as if I was on a computer, so I could browse boards, facebook, google, play games etc what do I need? Is an Android enough? (I am aware I'm beginning to sound like my parents God damn this newfangled technology!)

    What about a Nokia Lumia 710 on O2? 6 month contract gives ya 250 mins and texts + free calls and texts to O2 for 45 euro a month.

    Internet allowance isn't the biggest on O2 but I don't think you'd be a heavy user? Would do for occasional email and a browse. Covers the rest of your boxes too.

    Phone itself comes at 99 euro or 269-280 on prepay. If you go bill pay, after 6 months you can just go back to prepay or stay on a Sim-only contract.

    See it here. Its a nice little phone in terms of design, hardware and quality

    You'd have to push the boat out to €200 to get anything with a decent camera. If you'd like to go the Windows Phone 7 route, there's the LG Optimus 7 SIM-free on Expansys for €183.99, which looks like a great price for that phone.
