Car seat in front seat?

Are you allowed to put a maxi cosi in the front seat of a car if it's rear facing and you have disabled the airbags? My daughter is six weeks old and I feel uncomfortable with her in the back as she vomits alot etc.

Looks like I was wrong, there is no law saying that air bag "must" be activated if the car seat is forward facing. But, at the moment the guidelines say to keep it active unless the seat is rearward facing.
