When I tried to turn it on the charge symbol came on the screen with the red battery. When I got back to the car it wouldn't charge and stayed completely dead, however I plugged it into my laptop when I got home, and after about 10 minutes it turned back on showing the battery at 80%.

Has anyone ever had a similar problem? Does it look like the battery might be the problem.

Just replace the battery. Oh right... yeah....
