    Mc Carthy's in prosperous are rumored to be closing at the end of next month ... any one else hear this??

    Wouldn't be surprised , the economy is knackered and people spending on toys gets hit first.

    Scully's Athlone must be closing as well as he sold me a heap of 20g and 22lr for under half price this past weekend.

    Was in McCarthys at the weekend.
    The fishing and shooting part is staying open, the hardware is scaling down but not shutting up shop, so a bit of good-ish news
