    Hi folks :)
I'm just wondering is there such a thing as a measurable, spill proof ice cube tray that any of you have come across? I've googled but the closest I got was this: http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/kitchen/b787/ which is a bit too fancy for the reason I need it but it does ensure all cubes are the same size and won't spill. I just need a way to make ice in cubes that will always be the same size and I know the volume of each cube. So for example I may use 4 cubes which I know will equal 1/4 cup (60ml) in a recipe and each cube will always be for example 15ml.

Preferably in a food grade silicone that's easy to get the cubes out, again fully without breaking them :)

    Any feedback appreciated!

Ah, a little more googling and I came up with this:

    http://www.target.com/p/Sensible-Lines-Milk-Freezer-Trays/-/A-12407152

Designed for breast milk/babies so a higher price tag than a regular tray, but seem to be exactly what I'm after, 30ml cubes (1oz), spill proof, flexible to get the cubes out and BPA free too which is nice to know.

EDIT: Agh, just saw this video on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZEWVOSFX4I and it's not as good as I thought, you have to "carefully" fill the trays to below the line and then carefully lift it into the freezer. I was hoping to find something that could just be quickly filled with water, and thrown into the freezer any which way!

and this one also but it doesn't seem so highly rated

    http://www.target.com/p/So-Easy-Baby-Food-Breast-Milk-Trays/-/A-10338344?reco=Rec|pdp|10338344|ClickCP|item_page.adjacency&lnk=Rec|pdp|ClickCP|item_page.adjacency

If anyone knows of one that is like the sensible lines one but without the required spill preventing care, please let me know!

A few options here that could work, if they were in smaller singular, exact volumes they'd be perfect!

I assume it's not water he's wanting to freeze but something else.

What about ice cube bags, they seem fairly consistent sizes, you might have to use a funnel and work it around if what you are freezing is thick though.

    What about these: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/15112/Oxo-Tot-Freezer-Tray?

Cheaper than the other otion, too!

Thanks for the replies :) cheshire, that looks ok and it's very faint, but I think I can see a little path/connection between each cube space, which would allow the water to all settle in an even, measurable position.

Have a look on amazon.co.uk. You can find better pictures there and yes there is a little connection between the cubes.

Just checked it out on amazon and it looks to be exactly what I'm after so I think I'll get it :) Only bad thing is the segments are 22ml, which is a bit of a strange number but I'll live with it!

Just to note, ended up ordering from an Irish website, bumptobaby.ie: http://bumptobaby.ie/feeding-baby/accessories/oxo-tot-baby-food-freezer-tray

Delivery 4.95 and they were 5.48 each, so probably worked out a little cheaper than ordering from amazon/uk sites :)

Too late now, but remember if you buy over £25 worth on amazon you get free delivery (from amazon not 3rd party sellers). And you can pick any department, could be ice cube tray, dvd and a sweatshirt.

amazon even deliver groceries now, you can check for bargains here to get yourself over the limits.
