Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is that nonsense about "This image requires a Boards.ie Gold Account to view" in the OP?

    Quick Question

Does the free Weather app on my phone do the same thing?

The question is, will they deliver new stock at the same price? Doubt it, the site says "when it's gone, it's gone". That said, I was quoted a delivery date of 16th April.

I bought one, they won't be back in stock until 22nd April and will be shipped then according to Maplin.

Seems to be good deal made provided I get the stuff.
As for now the money were taken of the card and the status is: "Current status of this order: Part Despatched".
    How come? Which part?

Due in Tue, 24th April according to Customer Care. Might get it Friday next.

I hope you get it. I ordered something from the fúckers in the same sale that this was in. They later notified me it was out of stock and no more coming in. They issued a refund. I paid in £ so when they issued the refund I lost around €3 due to currency conversions. Complained to no avail.

I was told they are expecting new shipment of the weather stations on the 24th. Fingers crossed. :)

I have one of these for about 2 years now, and I love it.
For such a cheap little box, it's pretty damn accurate.
Survived one very cold winter and many storms so far. Still on the first battery.

Are you feeding the data to the interweb or just for your own purpose?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,726 ✭✭✭gerryk

Currently I just have the display panel in the kitchen. I want to either put an additional one in my office, and as such feed information to the internet, or alternatively, build a home-brew receiver to pull the data to a PC.

Just got an email telling me to expect my weather station in the next 2 days. And to make it sweeter I saw the same weather station in Maplin here for €197.99 :)

Made me sad when checked their website earlier today to see "delivery due in 9 days".
Thankfully got email later. "Within 3 working days" says mine.

Mine arrived by FedEx this morning, packaged in a massive box filled with packing material. I'm already assembling the station. Why are the cables on the sensors so long???

Yeh, I guess in case you want to mount them further away. Just tie them up with cable ties.

Can you check and tell us how long it took with fedex? Did you track it and did you have similar experience to beazee and I?

Beazee - you got tracked in 2 mins before mine  :p
