It appears so. When I walked by today they were setting it up to be "The Printing Press"

The mature students are now in the arts block, in the bunker where the old SU shop used to be. It's a work in progress so it's not finished but we have gotten access to it over the last few days.

    Well, I haven't had an A1 day.

First, the screen on my phone was damaged when I dropped it, so I had to get that fixed. None of my contacts carried over to the replacement phone. Second, I went to the USI rally, and on the outskirts of Maynooth, the bus broke down at 5:55pm, so now I have to take the train to Dublin and the bus back to Trim. :(

Anyone else notice how unusually busy the library is for this time of the year, seems to be pretty packed most days. Can only imagine how bad it will get around exam time.

I was saying the same thing today. It's pretty crazy alright.

I went into the old part of the library the other day. Was so empty I was convinced I wasn't supposed to be there and left..

I was looking for a book in the old library the other day and it seemed empty but I couldnt stand the heat!

All the books for my course are in the stupid new part, so I can't wait to start studying if it's as loud as you guys says it is :(

Was there many at the USI protest? Maybe they should give the money they spend on tshirts to the student hardship funds in their member universities; then I might have a modicum of respect for USI.

Whole library is too warm, especially if you have the low brain cell count I do and decide a hot drink in a temperature controlled library while wearing 3 layers is a good idea.

Was red faced, sweating like a pig and asked a library assistant where I might find a book on crack dealing. Wish I had explained it was a course book for anthropology, she looked very worried.

The library has been mental everytime I went in and the ques for the nice Dell ones at the front  pees me off when I queuing and I see someone on FB!!

I'm also amazed that some students that drive don't know the meaning of a zebra crossing!

The 5er fry ups are unreal though!! :)

Told myself I'd be productive on my days off... organise notes, study etc.

Today consisted of 3 episodes of Friends, 5 episodes of Breaking Bad, Man On Fire, and copious amounts of popcorn. Super productive day.

Have every Wednesday off, and what just happens to be tomorrow. Bloody clubs & socs day. Now I won't be able to join anything or know what's going on with anything.

Edit: Gym was fairly packed on Monday to the person who was asking. Friend said it was pretty busy today too!

I went into the old part of the library the other day, and it was like coming home again, all warm and cosy and quiet. Then I had to go do something in the new part, and it was weird how jarring the difference was, how very sleek and ultra-modern and how much sound really travels, especially up those stairs. It even smells different. It's really bizarre going from one part to the other, like stepping into a parallel universe where things everything is not quite the same.

You can join any club or society throughout the year, you don't have to sign up on clubs & socs day

Not sure if there is anything going free for class reps but I think you must have your nominee form in by the 4th so you may get your skates on :P

Or when they ask what does John Hume lecture, yes I did that on my first day thinking he was a lecturer. :o

I'm a second year, and I was at the poster sale. I couldn't pass up a "I am the one who knocks" poster to put on my door. :o

Completely underestimated the jump between 1st and 2nd year.. Legit drowning in work.

I've been in the library EVERYDAY since we got back and i'm still not on top of things.

And joined the Socialist Youth for reasons I am not entirely sure of...just heard it was free

Got my conferring letter in the post and was momentarily happy. Then I opened it and saw the information about those filthy rip off merchants charging 45 quid for a two hour robes rental. They literally disgust me.
