Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Neither for me:

Ciabatta heated in the oven with melted butter, Parma ham and rocket. Simple and delicious!

that sounds so feminine i bet it smells like vagina.

    Chicken fillet roll,mayo,lettuce and stuffing.

Superquinn does a great southern fried chicken burger and hotdog. I always thought superquinn could have done with a side restaurant food bar type thingy.

Breakfast roll with Black Pudding, Sausage, Hash brown and fried egg. Place near work makes it to order too, frying the egg in front of ya. Delish!

Breakfast roll and a jambon with a carton of milk, simple as..

Chicken fillet roll with butter, coleslaw and cheese.

The fillings have to be put in first though, and then the chicken sliced into strips and placed evenly along the roll. None of this chicken first and then the fillings ****e. It ruins the experience. You spend your time trying to keep the cheese from falling out.

This is like Solomon's choice. Maybe the shops should consider doing a half and half or you could always do the double.

BLT special for 2.50 in Centra on Westland row. Lots of mayo. just as well it's only on one week out of three - I'd never eat anything else.

Oh and a Tijuana Chicken Roll from O'Donovans on Pearse St. If you've had one you'll know why.

A roll, ham, and leafy veg.
What's feminine about that, apart from the fancy fordinn names?

It's basically the same as a white bread roll, butter, Denny ham and lettuce, only with tastier, better quality ingredients that are still very cheap.

Very unusual for someone to have margarine - IMO.

Meh, no harm in the odd treat. Porridge is carbs too - and actually causes me to feel hungry shortly afterwards, whereas an egg and fruit keeps me fed for ages and ages.

I'd have to be that hungry I'd be licking the steering wheel before even considering one of those manky breakfast rolls!

A spicy chicken baguette with butter and mayonnaise with cheese and coleslaw is an entirely different proposition.

    Cut in half as well!

    NOM!

le sigh and the alcohol and the white bread and the fried chicken and the oil wouldn't be "good" for you either but its a good thing I eat rubbish once in a blue moon like I said HCF rolls once or twice a year and live a clean lifestyle day to day as much as I can wait why the hell am I justifying a condiment....le sigh.

It was almost impossible to pick one! But hot chicken won my vote, with crunchy lettuce and mayonnaise. Yummy!

Italian BMT with Italian herb & cheese bread, toasted with spicy cheese. Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Peppers and Jalapenos as toppings and chip-tole southwest as the sauce.

    NOTHING!!!!!!

Anyone who disagrees is a Communist

  • Registered Users Posts: 137 ✭✭Mark25

Don't like eggs and not really a fan of rashers so has to be the hot chicken roll with lettuce, tomato and grated cheese and sweet chilli sauce - messy but nice and yeah they have to cut it in half, why not?

Favourite in Subway is the melted steak and cheese - really nice but Subway rolls are dear enough

    Hot Chicken Roll
Depends. Nothing beats a hangover like a breakfast roll, most other times I go for Chicken fillet rolls, due to them being cheaper and not as unhealthy.

    Ultimate Breakfast Roll:

Sausages, rashers, pudding, hash browns, cheese, barbeque sauce, butter.

    Ultimate Chicken Fillet Roll:
Spicy chicken fillet, sun dried tomatoes, white cheddar, stuffing, reggae reggae sauce

hot chicken roll every time... unless its early in the morning. You can't bate a brown roll with spicy chicken, cheese and stuffing and a few hunky dorys to the side!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,655 ✭✭✭El Inho

    Hot Chicken Roll
well first thing in the morning....breakfast roll..dollop of red and a yolk of milk...

after lunch, the puddins do be harder than a builders tool bag.

then your in spicy chicken and a splash of bbq sauce territory...

some places like spar though wanna cop on, them puddins are shocking 24/7

Spicy chicken, taco sauce, onion, peppers, tomato and coleslaw. That's where it's at!

where i work, every friday we get rolls for early morning break, percentage wise 80% buy the breakfast roll and the balance get a hot chicken rol, so based on that majority rules and breakfast roll is the most popular in a sytraight head to head :)

Saw somebody on the bus one morning who'd obviously decided that there was no need to decide. He was tucking in, at 8am, to a roll which contained sausages, bacon, pudding and a good helping of chicken tikka on top of the lot...

whats with all deli staff wanting to cut rolls in half, piss off and cut your own roll in half.

Because it's easier to ask before a customer barks at you to do so.

I dont usally get mine cut in half as usally have to reconstuct it and spread the butter evenly when I get home.

But if on the move, cut in half is handy, not easy to eat a foot long baggette crammed with food on the bus/train/car.
