Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The dole.

Edit : No idea if it's not linked to that scheme companies seem to be taking advantage of.

With difficulty, unless they're living at home.

The dole or if they don't qualify, a part time job. An internship is a means to an end, not something you'd be doing long term but it should have long term benefits. Unless of course you sign up for the governement paid Tesco internship where you can stack shelves for nine months

Slave labour and increased profits for the company, maybe they should at least buy lunch.

Exploitation will be the common ground for a lot of these internships.

a.k.a. Allowance from daddy, I assume... rather than a bank for storing and borrowing parents.

ok, they get an extra €50 a week for internships but comeon man, your lunches and petrol if you drive or bus fares will use that extra €50 up very fast so basically if you are an internee you are just working for the dole.

Now there are very ingratiating benefits in internships, that is if the job is something worthwhile and you gain experience instead of stacking shelves (for below company) as this is not improving your future advancement. How can you live on that pittance.
