C&C Which version please

Hi,
I was golfing in Galway Bay last week during our early summer. Clear sky and still water which gave me this lovely scene. I was thankful that I decided to bring my compact with me (Samsung WB2000). It reinforces the saying 'the best camera you have is the one you have with you...'

It's all just too ... symmetrical ... to have any real appeal to me. At a push though I'd say the original if I had to choose one. It has a few pleasing inconsistancies.

i'd go for the original too. the greater contrast works better.

I love the last one, it gives a very bleak cold wilderness feel to t. And i like that sort of mood. Original is excellent also, but for me the last one.

Yeah no.1 for me. No.1 seems a bit bland, and no.2 is more clear than the original. You can see more detail in the middle of the pic.

I'd have to go for the first or last shots. I love black & white imagery and this sort of looks like something from a tim burton still, which I like but I don't like the first 2 trees from the left. They seem to take a little away from the main image and would be easy enough to crop out.

The first image however would suffer if you cropped away the two trees because of the colours and vibrancy it adds, also it has the reeds so I'll go with number one.

number 2 for me, i like the lightness of tone as for me, the vignetting on the original is a little too much

Funny; photo 1 wasn't meant to be an option, didn't think anyone would even pick it. I just included it to show what the original was.
