Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

feeding wheat

    does anybody here feed wheat to heifers age 10 to 15 months old i was mixing crushed barley with the beef mix nuts and somenone says wheat is every bit as good does any one know ??

    Only problem with wheat is that it digests faster than barley, you can only feed about 30% in the diet, and you need to start them off slowly on it as it can upset the rumen. On the + side I think it has more energy than barley.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    I fattened bullocks by mixing the wheat with ordinary nuts 50:50. I found the results excellent but as blue says you need to take it easy on the quantities starting out as it can make them very loose
