Pubs in Newbridge

    Hi,

    Myself and the OH are travelling to Newbridge for the weekend of the English Grand National. Can anyone suggest a good sports bar that will show the racing from Aintree that day and that's close to a bookies.

    Most pubs would show it I'd imagine but couldn't tell you which ones. And there are bookies all over the main st in Newbridge which are also near pubs. Hope this helps.

    O'Rourkes, opposite xtravision will show this on a TV down the back. Not a sports bar at all but alright. Quiet spot. Paddy power right beside it.

    The best bet would be Coffeys, opposite the Riverbank theatre. It has plenty of TV's. They dedicate the ones at the front to football, one at the back to rugby and the one closest to the bar is for the horses only. Ladbrokes is just a few doors up from it. Not a sports bar but they will put any sport on the TV if you are happy to stay there. Lots of horsey fans in there.
