Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Right lads, just wanted to say goodlyck to everyone who reads this, even you lurkers who don't actually post here!
I remember this time last year I was freaking the **** out, I do NOT recommend this!
Stay calm for the love of bajaysus :L It's 'only the junior cert' and im sure you've heard that a million and one times, but its the truth!
Do amazingly well? fair play, but everyone will have forgetten by this time next year, do amazingly crap? Who cares? It doesnt effect your future in any way, if anything it will benefit you, because now you know you really need to pull up your socks for the leaving cert!
What I'm trying to say really is that its not the be all and end all of exams, even if it seems like that at the moment, so relax and just give it your best shot
Good luck to ye all, and don't be spending toooo much time on boards procrastinating, m'Kay?
Oh and one piece of advice, don't spend hours after each exam going through what you said piece by piece and trying to grade yourself! It's horrible and will make you convince yourself you failed XD Just accept that what's done is done and nothing can change that, and move on to getting ready for the next exam!0 -

I always write seriously depressing essays and always get good marks in them. Cutting is another topic like suicide. Everyone's been affected by them in some form of way so it really connects with the reader imo. Also, you can connect to it when writing too. Look up a few quotes and try to stick them in somewhere. It generally looks good, if used right.Lads is suicide a bit of a touchy topic for essay ? I can't seem to write an essay unless it is the most utterly depressing yoke. 0 -
Yes, my essays tend to be also excessively morbid :P You'll be fine, just don't break the rules by sending them porn or anything offensive (incredibly broad, their words not mine )
Speaking of rules, had to get a new calculator, mine was banned.

Oh crap.. I'm the worst at over thinking my exams. I just know I won't be able to stop myself from hopping straight onto examinations.ie as soon as I go home and start dissecting the examAh it's not that scary, really. After the first few days it'll feel like summer exams. And if you're anything like me, you'll come out of every exam beaming and contemplating on what a wonderful world it is...then you think about things some more and find yourself in a never-ending pit of despair. Oh overthinking...
But it's FUN. Really...I had fun during my JC. >.>
Oh well!
Tons of people say that the week of their JC is the best week they have during all of 3rd Year!

I'll probably be doing the same.
Once I get English and Irish over and done with, I'll be grand. Our Irish teacher will be waiting outside the exam hall to interrogate us about how we think we did as soon as we're finished. :eek: And to make sure that we all chose "Reoiteog Mharfach" for the poem if the right theme came up.
On a different note, the fourth years in our school went to France last week ad my friend lit a candle in the Notre Dame cathedral for me. :eek: I feel so special. 0 -
