The planning reference number is F19 A/ 0402

Not possible to view online yet , not scanned onto the Fingal planning section, maybe it will be possible to view it shortly.

Traffic is already crazy in that area as it is, with this 8th storey hospital planned, the car parking for staff, customers and visitors I think its in the total wrong location.

Not sure that's the right ref?

    Full Development Description

The proposed development comprises (1) the demolition of the existing site boundary wall and (2) the development of a mixed use scheme proposing, inter alia, a c. 1050m² retail unit and 109-bedroom aparthotel on a currently vacant site. The 4-6 storey development plus basement, also includes a) covered colonnade at street level b) lobby and guest facilities including food & beverage offers and c) aparthotel and retail service areas, d) 31 no. bicycle parking spaces at basement and surface level and e) a 12m. loading parking bay area. A roof terrace, set back at fifth floor level, and associated with the aparthotel is also proposed. Permission is also sought for landscaping and all ancillary and associated site development works.

That application for the aparthotel and retail looks to be for that vacant site in Pavilions where the fun-fair is on occasion. Interesting development.

They have added big gates to that site and a walkway through the carpark (carpark B I think) lately I was wondering why.

I think this one is the site across from the Plaza and Dr's surgery where the ice skating used to be at Christmas

Anyone know what’s happening in the area fenced off between Tesco and Costa coffee?
The new 197 service to Ashbourne will eventually terminate at Tesco... anyone know where it will be?

They’re extending Tesco and putting a clothes department in.

Tesco should have been a Tesco Extra from the very start. If Millfield can sustain (lol) what was at the time the largest one in Ireland Swords could easily do so. Plenty of space too.

Read something in the planning application originally that the ratio of ancillary space to retail area is something like 50/50, which means they either have big plans or need a lot of storage capacity.

Edit: Seems it's zoned in a "local centre" which allows up to 2500m² of retail space. The current store is 1993m² and the new extension is 750m² with a third of that being added to the already cavernous store room.
Tenner bets they're waiting for a change in the zoning law and then they open up a rake more of that space.

As another user mentioned is the new extension of Tesco, its due to be completed by April 2020.

Precision Engineering are the contractors and there is a traffic management plan in place for heavy duty vehicles servicing the site

No info on the new 197 service, there is no new bus stops at Tesco Airside , its just Swords express service stops, I live quite close to the area and have seen no new stops mentioning 197 service to Ashbourne

Looks to be a new planning application for the site across the road from Tesco, where the new road layout was recently completed, to construct three 6m high buildings to be used as car showrooms and associated services. Anyone know more about this?
