Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ohh I remember this, it was in the 1980s I think? West Ham gave them a hammering if I remember rightly, not a clue of the player though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,721 ✭✭✭Al Capwned

Yeah, West Ham won 8-1 after the Newcastle goalkeeper (Martin Thomas) was replaced cos of injury by Chris Hedworth, and he in turn was replaced by Peter Beardsley. It was in 1986, and both Beardsley and the West Ham player in question were in the England squad that went to the World Cup in Mexico later that year.
