Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Blackburn squad is younger than that I think. Average age around 23 since we let go Nelsen, Salgado and Roberts.

Yeah, the page i was getting the info from didn't take January into account. Can't find one that takes Jan into account and couldn't be bothered checking the age's for all the squads, but id imagine Blackburn's would have dropped significantly after those three moving

So then it wouldn't include Scholes coming back to United either probably adding a year or more to the squad age too.

No Googling or Wiki for this one:)

Spains top two international goalscorers are David Villa (51 goals) and Raul (44 goals).

Who is the 3rd highest goalscorer?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 501 ✭✭✭Adolf Hipster

    I thought raul was second?

Would guess morientes for 3rd anyway

Sorry my mistake, Raul is second but Torres ties on 4th with Morientes with 27 goals each.

    So, Who is 3rd then?

    Nope :D

    He is from Iran though

    Nope :D

I checked it awhile ago when Robbie Keane surpassed Bobby Charltons English record for goals (He mentioned that himself, I don't know why that would be relevant. Beside, only half his goals were in competitive games:P)

I'm saying 117 goals, can't give you a name though.

Will keep the ball rolling then, with a not too difficult one.

Which player ended their career with Nagoya Grampus Eight after a career that included being top scorer in the 1986 world cup?

    Lineker?

    Lineker?

Correct. Always found it funny a player of his stature finished his football in Japan, and for such a strangely named team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 288 ✭✭Thefirestarter

    Fernando Hierro

Yes, thats correct. I have my suspicions that it took one attempt:P

Have we a rule going here that who ever answers the question correctly is the only person allowed ask the next question?

    Anways,

3 teams at the 2002 World Cup were almost represented entirely by players from the home leagues of that nation, bar 1 player from each team.

Name the Player,Country and what Club they played for.

    I love the 2002 World Cup:D

    I'm guessing 3 of:
    South Korea
    Spain
    Italy
    Saudi Arabia
    Germany
    England

I'm going to take a stab at England for one with Owen Hargreaves playing for Bayern Munich. I'm fairly confident about that.
