Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just adjust the dial/screw so it idles higher. Makes sense to start there.

That sounds like a blocked jet in the carb.
The choke circuit richens the mixture so it runs, once you take the choke off it leans out and the bike cuts out.
Have you checked the main jets?
I suggest getting them cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner there are lots of passageways in a carb that can get blocked and you can't get to to clean them out.
I had the same problem once, a bit of varnish came out of somewhere and blocked the main jet, it wouldn't run at all at high speed and at low speed only with choke.
Stripped the carb and sure enough the main jet was blocked.
Did this happen after the bike was stored over winter?
