Thank fcuk I managed to pick up two tickets from w'mania, seems like there are nearly next to no tickets left. Happy days, bring on next sunday. :D

Just posted this on the Facebook event:
From Day One, WWE Parties have been about YOU...the people who make the nights so memorable. So, this Sunday, we host the first-ever WWE PARTIES HALL OF FAME CEREMONY: where some of YOU will be inducted on-stage for providing us with memorable moments from the past few parties! And those inducted will also be given some prizes (don't worry, we'll also have a contest for first-timers and everyone else to earn their way into the HoF).

Who do you think should be nominated and why???

Genuine question for Rick. Is it going to be like the past few nights with "the boys" getting preferential treatment by getting seats right in front of the big screen? Ballymun Bruiser, Brother Skelly, Johnny Notaro and Kazza, McGregor Hardshaw, 'Angry' Andy Barton etc all sitting up front. I doubt they're turning up before everyone else or is it simply a case of taking care of "the boys"

I love the use of "the boys".

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis guys...there's no set seating arrangements for us to be able to 'look after the boys'. A few of the people you mentioned work with us and we need seats up the front (as I'm on stage so need to be close to them to deal with any issues...so I don't have to use the mic and disturb everyone there to grab them each time), a few are our friends so I don't know why you expect us not to sit with our friends, and a few of those mentioned I don't even know personally. So I couldn't tell you where the latter people are going to sit because I've never had a conversation with them in my life. We've never once told someone to move so someone that I know could sit in their spot, if that's what you're getting at? The problem you're implying simply doesn't happen.

Same as always, if you arrive early, you should get a good seat. But we've also listened to feedback and gone to extra effort in the past few events to make the view and audio of the whole night better for everyone no matter where you sit (to the point that we pay a sound engineer to set up extra speakers in the restaurant area and the venue is re-configured slightly beforehand to ensure everyone is able to see a TV).

I...genuinely don't know what else we can do for you. If you've any suggestions as to how we can fix the problem, please chime in. But the problem seems to be that you either want better seats without arriving earlier than others (not fair on those that pay the same price for a ticket and DO arrive earlier) or don't want me to sit with my friends?

I overheard some guys last year saying they were there since 3pm, have to admit that anyone who arrives at that time deserves a sweet spot. Don't arrive at 11:50pm like I did, you'll be standing all night!

For the rumble party I got there at around half 8 - had some dinner and got a class spot!

theres no favouratism going on - just get there early if you want to be in the live area!

I arrived at about half 9 last year and also overheard that the lads closest to the screens were there all day too. Fair play to them, thats dedication.

I heading over with a group of 5 lads, hoping to get there around half 8. I hope we can all get seats. and more importantly some good ol' Captain Americas food.:D

I see the beginning of a feud starting between those who arrive early and those who don't. May as well turn off the tv and make it the in-house main event come wrestlemania -as the actual main event is sure to suck!

I think the only problem would be if someone turned up two or three hours late and expecting to get a seat or a group of seats. I think the majority of those going late will be those who can't go early due to other engagements during the day, and will not complain if they can't get seats. The ones that will complain would be the ones who would strolling in about 11 or 12, expecting there will be seats, due to the event not starting until 1.

I don't think it'll be a problem and I think that 99% of the party goers will enjoy themselves, the event and the banter that comes with it.

I'm seem to recall a few lads doing a rather provocative HBK-style male stripper type dance while singing the lyrics to 'sexy boy' at last years WM party. If you ask me a few of them where a little too good at it, like maybe they practiced at home in front of their bedroom mirrors.

You could try doing that - it might make a few people uncomfortable enough to leave their seats, I know that's how I felt :D

Like during an episode of Raw in the Attitude Era when someone would always turn up to the show with 30 minutes left, cameramen waiting in the parking lot all night for them, they arrive and head straight down to the ring.

Les Ferdinand that's what you should do, arrive at midnight and power walk down to the front row :D

What time will Captain Americas let you pitch up for the evening?

Or do they mind, once you're steadily paying as the night goes on?

Dont know if he is going but surely Ciano 3:16 should be inducted :D purely for sign placement

I'm disappointed that i can't go this year.

The first one was a fantastic night.

We got there round six last year to get some food and stayed there for the duration. I'm glad we did as we got some great seats at the bar right beside a tv. It was a long day but was well worth it.

For the Rumble I got there about 8pm, pitched camp in the stage area and ordered food from the waiter managing the entrance. They were ony too happy despite their alarm that the wrasslin crowd were already in. :P

I can't remember the details but we weren't spending much money after the food until nearer the event but that didn't bother them.

exactly what I did - as long as you pay for the food first they drop it up (steak is awesome), got a great spot - music started at 9, and for the rumble it gave me a chance to display the belt!

I would do the exactly same this time if I wasn't heading over to NY (sorry I haven't mentioned that in a while :pac:)

    Cena to turn heel

    Taker to lose the streak

    Brock to beat HHH

    You heard it hear first.

I'm off down to the bookies to put my house on it.

stayed up all night frantically turning my room inside out to find the 8 tickets I bought for myself and my mates. Finally gave up at 7 or so this morning, figured id look for them in the morning.

woke up there about an hour ago, they were on my desk, except they were upside down. My room is destroyed, I'm talking all the clothes out of every drawer, books dvds etc just discarded around the place. Buuuuut thankfully I found them!

Mania also happens to fall on my birthday this year, which is always good.

Unfortunately not man, your best bet at this stage is to go onto the Facebook event and see if there's anyone who can't go for whatever reason now looking to sell.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

Leggo, this is a very rude question, so don't answer if you can't.
How many tickets were sold for the event now that we know its an official sell out?

Total capacity for the night is 350. Funny since it's WrestleMania, but I believe it's gonna be an attendance record for Captain's.

Just one last update for those who didn't see it on Facebook. Can't wait for this myself...we've kept a few surprises for the night quiet so I hope you like them. Hope everyone who can make it has a good one and everyone else enjoys Mania however they send it. But now, it's showtime!
Alright guys, this time tomorrow #CaptainsMania2 will be in full swing!!!! Just a few notes ahead of
    • It will be TICKET ONLY as the event is sold out so please do not show up without a valid ticket as you won't be able to watch the PPV.
    • We're using the hashtag #CaptainsMania2 if you plan on tweeting during the event.
    • If you've arranged to collect tickets from WRESTLING MANIA, please ensure you do so before they close at 6pm. And help yourself to some t-shirts while you're there to support the guys, who do a great job for wrestling fans in Ireland!
    • Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend you arrive as close to 9pm as possible to ensure a good seat (though, as with the Rumble party, we're making alterations to the venue to ensure there are no bad seats).
    • Captain's delicious food will be served until late (with a restricted 'pub grub' menu until midnight approx). Be sure to ask bar staff about their current promotions, they always have great deals on jugs and cocktails! The bar will be open the majority of the PPV.
    • We'll be filming clips of the event for future use, so don't be shy if you see any cameras pointing in your direction!
    • Don't forget to play our WWE WrestleMania 29 Prediction Game if you haven't already!
    • Most importantly: ENJOY THE NIGHT! See you then guys!

What way was the seating different for the rumble compared to mania last year?

really looking forward to this. :D
Captains specific question; Their 2 course menu, anyone know how much it is?

i think it is 14 or 15 quid for the 2 course meal. Gonna get me some garlic bread and a cheese burger :D.

Can't remember what exactly was the deal for Mania (all I remember was that we didn't expect it to be that full so those considerations weren't even made because it took us completely by surprise; the initial hope was to just fill the Live area), but compared to what it's regularly like we'd implement small layout changes, like instead of having tables together there were more spread out so you could get more people in different groups seated together etc. Nothing particularly exciting but it lets us accommodate everyone while still keeping them seated and comfortable.

Not 100% on food/drink prices tbh, they change regularly (especially the drinks promos) so we just go with what they're running at the time. There are always some kind of offers on though, given that a lot of their day-to-day business comes from students (with Trinity around the corner), they have to keep fairly competitive rates so it works out well for us.
