I have an uncle in new York he can buy a Remington 870 for around 450 dollers over there while I pay 750 euro here is there any way he can buy it sell it to me and get it shipped, it makes me feel a little sick when I see the price difference over the pond, so question is can it be done cheaply??? And how to go about it.

    Try islandsports in castlebar. http://www.islandsports.ie/shotguns.html
Remington 870 €495 on their website.
I cant see importing one from the USA being cheaper than that by the time all is paid.

Importing a gun means you will be liable for the shipping charge from the US if you can find a carrier who will handle it. You will then have to pay import duty and 23% VAT which applies to the shipping charge too:eek:. My advice buy it in Ireland it will be a lot less hassle!!

A handy Calculator for working out import tax and vat

And don't forget the Export license from the US @$250 on top.
