Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If this is the wrong place to post this question feel free to move to another place, thanks.

So I am male and I have hard skin on my feet, its gross I know but I want to get rid of it, only thing is I dont know who I would go to to get this done or how its done.

Could someone on boards please point me in the right direction to a place in Dublin city centre to get this done at a good price?
Or is there anything I can do myself to remove it easily?
I did get that 'Ped-Egg' yoke last year, pain the bum to use on my feet and does not remove hard skin too well.

Thanks for any help on this manky question :D

moisturizer and and foot scrub, depends on how bad it is though,
But use the foot scrub in shower, then after shower ped egg and finish with moisturiser, not going to fix it straight away though..... I personally like lemony flutter in lush :)

Moisturizer and and foot scrub in the shower, maybe in a basin would be better, thanks for that!
What type of scrub and moisturizer would you recommend to use? What prices am I looking at? Do I do this once, twice, three times a week? Sorry for the n00b questions on all of this.

I did go to a specialist about 3 years ago and he did remove the hard/dead skin(sorry, rank), he said its just something I have, that skin grows faster on my feet, just have to keep at them, which I never did, being a bloke.
There is no pain, its just manky and rough and want to have nice soft feet instead.

Make an appointment with a Chiropodist...

I use an avon one, its a seaweed type one, very good and they also have a matching foot balm.
And for intensive softening, slap on moisturiser on your feet before bed, slip sock on over, and should have lovely softness.
A basin is probably better, I just wouldnt have patience.

Personally I wouldnt be into a chiropodist, as you say you've already been to a specialist.

Soak your feet in a basin of warm water then use a foot file or a pumice stone to remove the hard skin. You can also use a foot scrub. I like the Boots own brand one, smells like vanilla. Apply a little bit of a good thick moisturiser and rub it in thoroughly. Nivea do good fragrance free moisturisers for a few quid in Boots. If you do this before bed put on some cotton socks so your feet have a chance to really absorb the cream and they should be lovely and soft in the morning.

To keep up the maintenance then just give your feet a quick scrub in the shower every day and use the file/pumice maybe once a week. Moisturise after every shower though if you can to stop the skin going dry and rough.

I find that hard skin seems to appear based on how active you are and the type of footwear you wear. I dramatically cut down on my walking after getting a new job somewhere else and my feet seem softer now.

I think a ped egg would be a good idea but make sure to use it straight out of the shower when skin is soft. Also use a scrub in the shower to get rid of skin where you can't ped-egg it. I use a foot blade sometimes which literally shaves off the hard skin. Again, use straight after a shower

I also like the Micro-Pedi, a little expensive but good at doing what a pumice does without the elbow grease!

I love this product, my OH also used this last year & he was very happy with it too, although it was a bit of a squash getting his size 10's into the little plastic booties, he still got great results :)

Softsole is fab, about 20 euro. I found the easiest thing to do is take a movie to bed and lie down when you have it on, kind of a pain to walk in

Pharmacies stock it, i've never found it in boots but always in mac cauleys/ mc cabes etc. Usually 20 euro for me, i don't know where had it for 14.99.

You should find it in the section that has the scholl foot stuff.
