Hi. I was considering getting a bouncing castle and renting it out at weekends on the side. Im just wondering do you need some sort of public liability to be able to do this or is there such thing as a waiver?? i know nothing about this just coming up with ideas!!

if by 'waiver' you mean that the householder renting the gear will sign a piece of paper indemnifying you in the event of an accident, it won't be worth the paper it's written on.

What this would mean in theory is that the neighbour who's kid twists his ankle has to sue the guy running the party instead of you. He and his ambulance-chasing lawyer will come after you regardless of what was signed.

Don't even think about it without taking out public liability insurance.
