Ar phóstáil tú ar an bhforum "Gaeilge"? Níor ghlac mé páirt ann ach ghlac cara agus bhí agallamh le déanamh aici. Ach seans go mbeidh eolas ag duine éigean ar an bhforum. Go n-éirí leat!

Oops silly me thinking that moderators on an Irish website would be able to speak Irish, my bad!

sea cinnte, sheol mé an foirm iarratais mí ó shin, tá súil agam go néiróidh liom agallamh a fháil!
translation: of course, I sent my application form about a month ago, I hope to be called for an interview.

Are there not any Irish-speaking moderators?

Not in this forum, hence the policy.

Presumably the rule is such so that people in UCD in general could understand such posts, and not exclusively those who choose to become fluent in Irish.

hiyakeano, téigh go dtí Teach na nGealt, beidh eolas ag daoine ar an Scéim ann.
(Go to Teach na nGealt, people will know about the Scheme there).

Anyone interested in Scéim na Gaeilge would be fluent anyway. I'm not complaining though, just wondering.

Did you post on the Irish language forum? I didn't take part in it but a friend did and had an interview to do. But maybe someone on the forum will know. Good luck!

Thanks Ms.M it's nice to get a comment from someone with actual information about the scheme! :P

this is going to sound so stupid, but what is Teach na nGaelt? i'm new to forums and stuff, bit of a rookie!

It's a forum on boards for Irish speakers. You could start a thread, you'll find people who know more about it than I do. :)
