Selling First Thinnings?

I have 160 tonnes of silka spruce thinnings drying for 8 months in an exposed site. It has not been covered with a tarpaulin yet. Buyers are encouraging me to sell ASAP by weight. The end use is energy. Obviously a dryer product is more valuable but this is contradicted by the buyer wanting to purchase by weight.

    -When to sell?
Do I let it dry longer? The buyer says the product will be worth less?

    -How much to sell for?
Shouldn't I measure the moisture content?
What correction factor if any to use?
