Doggie Date (not as dodgy as it sounds...)

    Wanted to pick peoples brains....

Got a new dog recently, 8month old lab bitch. She's house trained, well mannered and socialised. I'll semi-flexible with time spent at home but there are days where I can't be and I'm wondering if it might be an idea to find someone else in a similar situation with a suitable dog to visit during the day?

I'm sure there must be other dog owners out there who are leaving their hound in a back garden and trying to keep them amused during the day with toys, bones etc. I just thought it would be great for those days where owners won't be home for the dogs to have company, less likelihood of bad behaviour developing and bins stay intact!

I've thought about approaching the neighbours (they will def think I'm odd) to see if this might suit someone and importantly, if the dogs would get on. I know that's another kettle of fish.....and my lady being a lady too....will cross the bridge when I come to it. (jesus I sound just like a mother with toddler....except my toddler likes to chew beef bones all day....)

So what do folks think? Anyone in a similar situation?

    Thanks in advance
