Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Scandanavia is too highly taxed. The UK would be a better move if you want to keep more money, plus you aren't subject to immigration controls for the most part.

Isn't that like the pot calling the kettle black?

The tax rates are awfully similar, particularly when you look at relatively high earners (which most IT workers would be in).

Still lower than most of Continental Europe, where the Spanish want people to pay for 30 year old men to inhabit their parents basement. Don't get me started on France. The Corporation Tax in both countries is good for an outside US jurisdiction. Because you must remember Corporations are vastly more important than people. These entities are people too, just with more rights. As should be the case.

The comparison with the UK, particularly London does not make much sense. I earn contracting rates in London but try not to work from London. Non contracting IT is low. In fact forget about buying a house.

Your disposable is going to be what's in your pocket after rent, food, travel and tax.

Don't work in a perm role there. On the other hand an Englush friend of mine is looking at Sweden where he can buy a house for 60k, or do he says.
