    Great try and finish Zebo

Well done Ulster. Great win (and I'm saying that as a Munster fan with 30 minutes gone). No way back for this Munster team. Any chance McGahan can get his marching orders after this game. It wouldn't cost them that much as he has already announced he is going in a few weeks and there would hardly have been a more deserved sacking in the history of Rugby.

Good try by Zebo, good passing and a smart overlap.

19-7 to Ulster, 34 minutes in.

Its 12pts difference. The game is far from over.

As much as it pains me to say it he is probably the best ref in the NH at the moment.

Right Ulster, another wee try here before half time would be excellent. :)

Ridiculous! Ulster have given away **** all penalties and that was nowhere near Ulster line.

    Bad call.

Yellow for Ulster. Utterly unnecessary and gives Munster a real chance.

Henry off for 10, going to miss the first 4 mins of the second half.

    I fecking Jinxed Ulster! :D

(McGahan is still a prat of a coach though)

    Stupid stuff from Henry.

12 points ahead, on the half way line and you get yourself a yellow.

Can see a Munster try coming from this.

They gave away a few on the their line when Munster were camped in their 22 and Poite warned them.

It deserved a yellow for its sheer stupidity.

Surprising yellow card. No red zone or multiple infringements. Lucky for Munster

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,320 ✭✭✭Teferi

Munster finally found the pace of the game. The first score in the second half will be a vital score for either team. Will really give whoever scores it a boost.

Remind me never to bet against you!

They've certainly upped a gear. I still think they lack some penetration though.

Hands on the deck, very strange to get binned as it was on midfield and it was really only the 3rd penalty Ulster gave away

I think Ulster should take off Ferris, hes been very quiet and is clearly not fit.

Silly hands in the ruck. Clinical and stupid.

Probably the first wrong decision Poite has made.

He won a couple of terrific turnovers and he had a few decent carries and tackles

Lets hope he's consistent, when he sees a Munster player do it.

Much better. Really needed those points before the half. Game on!!!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,662 ✭✭✭RMD

Certainly a more interesting game now. Thought Henry was sent off very quickly there, wasn't in Ulster's 22 and wasn't slowing down play drastically. I'd prefer to see Poite remain decisive though rather than flakey.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

I'm feeling a little bit better now, still a big hill to climb but if Munster score first in the second half it could be significant.

Munster definately need to tighten up their discipline because Pienaar is kicking like a machine.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,341 ✭✭✭✭Chucky the tree

It wasn't just hands in the ruck. Henry made the tackle and was lying on the ground and then he just slapped the ball out of the ruck. Deliberate foul and he made no attempt to hid it, can't fault the yellow card.

I would put the mortgage on Munster winning this now. Ulster look tired to me.

    Ulster
Would anyone else take off Humphries at half time? One excellent drop and a couple of good tackles, but his kicking form hand has been dreadful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

    Ulster
Awful first half...just stupid penalties and a woeful try to give away.

But they came back into it. I wish they had been a bit more patient. 9 points in it, it could be less. ROG's decision-making has to be questioned. Pity we didn't get another try while we had all the momentum.

Ulster are bound to bounce back, and we've still got a big gap to make up. Pienaar is going to punish us if we do anything stupid. Need to keep up what we were doing towards the end, our ball retention has been excellent.

I'd keep him on for about ten minutes but if he hasn't improved I changes things then

    9.Marshall 10.Pienaar

    is better than

    9.Pienaar 10.humphreys

    imo.

They have a 9-point lead. There is no way they can be that tired after 40 minutes. They'll have a period of dominance, be sure of that.

Munster might win, but it looks like a long shot now. Certainly not mortgage-sure

In fairness Ulster got a lucky try and a couple of pens, they've had no possession and no territory and played poorly. Unless they up their game there's no way they will win it...

lol a 'lucky' try? Gilroy carved them apart. All of Ulster's penalties have been deserved. They also are down to 14 men unfairly imo.

Well to be fair, Gilroy's try was great but it was absolutely woeful defending. There were 3 terribble attempts at tackles, which you'd expect them to make normally.
