Break to Vienna

    Taking a short (3-day) holiday with other half to Vienna and would appreciate very much any information on what to do while there.
    We are open to all suggestions from your good selves as regards restaurants, bars, what to see, getting around (trams/taxis/bike hire), etc, etc.
    Anything you think of, no matter how insignificant you might think it is, we will take on board (seriously). Give us any ideas out of the ordinary on what we might go/see, etc.
    Oh yeah, have any of you heard/travelled on the CAT (City Airport Train) and is it worth booking beforehand for when we arrive and when departing Vienna or would you recommend taxis or buses instead!
    Staying at Mercure Grandhotel Biedermeier, Landstrasser Haupstrasse 28, in area 1030
    Appreciate any help and thank you very much.
