,Ive been using them on the 223 and find them ok,I have another new set exactly the same and they've never been out of the box. They cost £285 sterling.Anyone else familiar with them and your opinions on their uses would be gratefully appreciated.

The higher mag versions of the Mamba,Viper and Taipan, are very popular with air rifle folk as the side focus (parrallax adjust) allows you to get a pretty good read on range so you can drop the shot right where you need it.

They're heavy on features, light on price, and have a reputation for very good glass for the money (not quite up with Bushnell but try get one of them with side focus for that sort of money).

Haven't read anything about them beyond air rifle circles though so that's as much as I can tell you. ;)

...oh - and ps: the mamba, is the cheapest scope they produce, their bargain bin model if you will, and can be easily had for about ST£100 less than you've quoted above. £285 is 6-24x56 Taipan money - and there's no comparison between those two models. Taipan is the second best scope they do.
