When it comes to selecting which design and finish to use, there is plenty of choice. Here are some examples:

Some great ideas there, I like the arc of upright sleepers in the first pic and second pics in post III. Is that your work?

How are the sleepers fixed so they remain upright?

Does the gravel filled gap between the sleepers and paving serve a purpose, expansion gap, drainage?

    Thx

    V.

Sleepers are securely fixed in 300-450mm (depending on planting scheme requirements) concrete. Gravel trims are generally ornamental but sometimes also for drainage (depends on our design requirements/site conditions etc).

Thanks Countrywoman. We source our stone directly from Quarry owners who supply us with stone to match our specific requirements. Some stone is also sourced from various Stone merchants. I would be happy to provide you with details of these Merchants. If you PM which stone is of interest, I'll reply with the Supplier details.

Our stone walls are custom built using traditional stone masonry skills (no cladding). All of the stone used in the construction, is carefully selected and hand dressed to produce a very discerning result.

Really nice work. Can I ask what the trees are in the pic titled (Painted Rendered RB with Granite Bullnosed Capping.JPG)? Would love these for my own garden.

The 'trees' are Laurus Nobilis Standards, but more commonly referred to as Bay Laurel Standards or Lollipops. Bay Laurel is actually an evergreen shrub and the the lollipop shape is the result of topiary pruning work/specialist care to train plant growth from an early stage in order to create the lollipop shape. If left unattended however, the plant would eventually revert to it's natural dense shrub form. Not much effort is required to retain the 'lollipop' shape, ie, clear stem and rounded crown. Bay Laurels are beautiful plants and the Bay leaf which is closely associated with French cuisine etc is very popular in cooking.
