Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iPhone 4 stealing my credit

    Hi

    I got an iPhone 4 couple months ago,meteor,everytime I top up credit it's gone the next day without me havin made any calls or texts,I will get texts from meteor tellin me I don't have enough credit to keep using data so I assume my credit us being used in the Internet

    I have my phone connected to the wifi in my house or so I think so I don't know why I'm being charged for Internet

    Can anyone tell me how to fix this as I just haven't bothered buyin credit the last two weeks it's gettin rediculous now

    You need to possibly turn off data roaming, and the apps you use may be using the net for adds etc. so turn off push notifications.
    There's more but I can't think of it off the top of my head. Lots about it on google though

    Settings > General > Network > turn off Mobile Data.

    I would recommend getting a data package.

    So 'using' = 'Stealing'?

    Do you ever leave your house? If so, any background apps will use your data. Are you using WhatsApp or Viber or anything like that?

    They use to but that increased to €30 pm free meteor calls texts and 1gb data allowance.what I did was moved to three €20 all you can eat data and any network texts suits me down to the ground iPhone 4s from the apple store

    i dont top up by 20 euro in one go so i only chose the 5 euro free meteor text option..i might do 5 euro every 2 weeks at most..

    i do use whats app and facebook and words with friends and such ill go into stetings now and turn all that stuff off and see if it helps next time i top up thanks for the replies ill report back

    Worth checking with Meteor how the credit is being used. It's possible you're subscribed to a premium sms services but not actually receiving any sms's. That's how these scammers work now. Only discovered it myself when i got the bill.

    iphone without some sort of a data plan is going to cost you....

    meteor now doing a 30 day rolling contract offer, 1 gig included for 20e...DEAL

    Im on the same tarrif with them for 30 a month 12 month contract ...sickened :pac:

    Go to Three. I switched to them from 02 after several (mostly happy) years, until they fckued me over with credit - and then tried to blame me. €20 a month buys me unlimited texts to all networks; unlimited any network calls at the weekend; unlimited Internet; and €10 a month free credit.

    You're charged 69c per day for up to 50MB usage. If you go beyond 50MB it is €1/MB I think?

    When you have wifi enabled the mobile data connection remains open and when the phone goes into sleep mode it turns wifi off to save energy so will revert back to mobile data, if enabled.
