Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Found her for you. I have stuck one of her tampons to your door. If she comes looking for it, you are in there.

If she is really on your mind, just go in like you said or maybe the flower thing with number. Sure what you got to lose. Worst case scenario you give her a little ego boost and hear nothing!

Now make sure to report back :P

    Have balls,

    Flowers and a card.

Go in ask to speak to 'Insert Name', Give her the flowers and card and say, Thanks for looking after me, I appreciate it :)

Within the card have your phone number and write if you fancy it I'd like to buy you dinner to say thanks :)

Worst that can happen is she won't ring you..... Do it :)

I'll bet you were out in a pub somewhere.. mouthing off.. talking when you should have been listening and then got beat up. Would that be accurate?

This has "it'll all end in tears" written all over it unfortunately. Hopefully she's been around long enough to let him down gently. Good luck anyway OP, maybe I'm wrong, or maybe this is just a mistake that you need to make. :)

Sorry and all op but i wouldn't advise you to do it. I mean you don't know her at all. You aren't even what could be called acquaintances. You don't really know who she is so, like, why would you be bothered to track her down??

    Cop on OP.

The possibility of getting to know someone new, finding a girlfriend, the ride...

It's a sorry state of affairs if you had that attitude in life. If everyone had that attitude it would be an incredibly antisocial insular world as everybody would be thinking what's the point of ever meeting anybody new at all?

maybe. But you should never have to track them down in all fairness! And i doubt he got to know her enough to warrant such extreme measures. She was in work like, so she was probably just doing her job rather than engaging with him. But whatever, maybe i'm gone cynical. Still advise you to be cautious op

It so happens the nurse is nice, he likes her, hes not following her to her house, camping in a bush all the CSI stuff.

Cop on yourself! She's single, it's not the first time I've seen a patient hook up with a nurse.

OP please tell us how you get on, will be great to know! Good luck mate ;)

I thought you wanted the name of the person who put you in hospital!
Flowers was my idea too... go with that.

Head down to hospital and ask her out for a drink or something, sure what have ya got to lose and even if it doesn't work out at least you'll have had the balls to go for it :) Ignore the people who are being díckheads about It!

Really? Nurses aren't meant to date patients. I have friends who are nurses and that have had patients add them on fb. They thought it was really weird and it kinda freaked them out. Made them put tighter controls on who can view their page.

Never said it wasn't wierd, but i've seen it happen before. Kind of creepy and romantic at the same time

He is not a patient now,I'm sure there are nurses who have had relationships with people they met as patients. There is nothing wrong with it. Who said they are not meant to date patients?

Seeing as the majority of people were born in a hospital and therefore patients, doesn't that make most of us No Go to nurses?

    Poor nursies :(

Yah but she meet him while he was a patient. I bet the nurse manager wouldn't be too impressed if she discovered that the nurses were dating people they meet while they were a patient. I don't know if its included in the various nurses codes of practice but its frowned upon and considered unprofessional.
If he wants to ask let him ask. Its her choice to say yes or no.

I think what nurses do outside of work is their own business and nothing to do with their manager. It would be a bit unfair if two people wanted to have a relationship but could not because a manager would not like it.
What is the deal with nurses dating people they work with?

OP: Buy a box of chocolates and a card, drop up to the ward/nurses station where she was hanging out last time, say, 'Hi - is Whateverhername on duty?' If she's there, give her a big smile, hand her the chocolates and say, 'Thanks for all your help last week!' All her mates will think you are at the very least super sweet. Then, when she opens your card - you'll remember to write another nice thank you message plus your phone number, won't you? - she has the option of ringing or texting later.
    Do it!

I dunno. Wanting to ask someone out is perfectly reasonable - it's not stalky and you don't have to be certain they like you, but in her workplace while she's on duty? I guess nothing can stop you but I wonder whether there's a code of practice she has to abide by in that situation - i.e. tell you she is unable to agree to a date while on duty, with someone she recently treated?

Be a bit creepy if he was waiting outside for her after work, wouldn't it? Can't see the issue TBH, give the card with the number and a quick "Thanks for all your hard work/effort/laughs, would like to buy you dinner some time as thanks".

I fell in love with the surgical doctor in wexford general hospital while I was there with kidney stones - This woman was stunning and so far out of my league I could barely see her.

I'd have given my kidney just to spend an evening talking to her!

    Ah well
