Does anyone know how far the footpath runs from Newcastle beach towards Wicklow?Where does it go to exactly? How long would it take to do this walk with young kids in tow?

    Thanks

All the way. 9km to the car park at the new bridge over Broad Lough so it could take up to 2 hrs. The path gets a bit indistinct for a bout 1 km after 5 mile point, but people walk along the beach there, then the path gets wider and wider going towards Wicklow town. If you want, you can go on further, all the way to the harbour.

You'd do worse than pick up a copy of my map, Wicklow East by EastWest Mapping. Shows all these sort of trails, which have been checked on the ground by & large. Try the Bray Bookshop or Bridge Books in Wicklow.
