I am going to New York next month is there any gun ranges within the area or travel distance to go to?

Hangduns are banned in metropolitan New York. AFAIK, as a furriner you cannot touch a handgun even at a range without either the pre-authorization granted by NYPD to a person who applied for their permit and has already passed the checks or by already having a NYC permit and driving licence.
