Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If it weren't for those Aon commericals I would say Michael Owen.

I totally forgot Vladimir Smicer's existence until I heard him mentioned somewhere a while back, despite him scoring in the champions league final.

    Brian McBride.

He played a year or two for Chicago after Fulham, now retired, I saw him last week on Fox Soccer Channel in the US as one of the studio pundits.

    Claudio Reyna.

Came to the NY Red Bulls after Man City but was shyte, constantly injured, retired after one season. Now he's in charge of one of the US Youth teams and some sort of development strategy for US Soccer for Klinsmann.

Well this thread just reminded of a player I'd completely forgotten about.
Marian Pahars was a wonderful player to watch but unfortunately very injury prone. He scored some wonder goals.
Went and checked there now and he is currently manager of Skonto fc in Latvia and they are tied top of the league after three games.

Michael Johnson. Looked like he had a decent future ahead of him back when Sven was in charge. Disappeared all of a sudden

I can remember the night on MOTD that Michael Johnson was compared to 'Nijinkski' (Colin Bell). Looked a Gerrard box to box type of player but its very sad that his career afterwards amounted to little afterwards. Young player that maybe suffered with the trappings of football, a bad injury and the insane comings and goings at Man City at the time.

    Michael Hughes, from Norn Iron
    Chris Armstrong, for palace
    Jan Åge Fjørtoft for Swindon
    Michael Bridges

Great player, woefully unlucky with injuries.

    For Chelsea,

Ricardo Quaresma. Was loaned in from Inter Milan after previous stints with Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona and similar hype to a certain ex Sproting team mate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Made a handful of appearances and was fairly unspectular, it was Scolari who brought him in and when Hiddink took over found himself often benched or not part of the matchday squad.
