Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My rights against call centres

    Hi.
Last wednesday, I received a call from an
organisation I didn't recognise asking me to participate in a survey.
I said I was busy at the time (which I was & they should have realised this), then the lady asked me when can she call, I said I'd rather she didn't, as I've no interest in surveys (I wasn't being rude, I was trying to be as polite yet honest as possible, as I know they're just doing their job). Then she asked me for a number of someone from the family who might be interested, which I thought was too far & asked her to not contact me again & hung up.
The day after I missed a call from an Unknown (the previous woman was also Unknown).
The day after, I picked up a call from Unknown. Same conversation with a man this time & I made it VERY clear I wished to not ve contacted again.
I received 2 more missed Unknowns since.

Now I've been told (granted who told me may have been misinfomed) that if I request to be put on the do-not-call list, they are obliged to never bother me again.
I was also told that if I ring my phone company, they are also obliged to tell me who it is & block them.
Also, I heard o2 are known for 'selling' their customers' numbers onto such call centres.

I'm not sure how to act on this. Of course I will call o2 tomorrow to at least block the number, but I'd like to know more about this. Is this legal? Is it my ph. company's fault?

Get yourself ex directory and completely unregistered, worked for a landline for me, as was getting calls completely out of the blue from total unknowns about surveys and all kinds of sheet, did it through the service provider, these crowds never listen to you, I assume I was eventually off any new lists that were passed around so I wasn't contacted anymore.

Some of these outfits are very persistent. One guy tried to get me interested in his website service, and kept on and on. Finally told him I have been online in one shape or other snce 1990 and did not need his services.

I also find it helps to break into their spiel saying "mY son ( or daughter ) have you found Jesus? " and then go on with any similar remarks. You will probably found you are taken off their list
