From your experience what gym would you recommend?between the leisure centre or the Maldron or indeed any other!

Hey, Are you looking for a qym in the Portlaoise area only? I've started using the leisure centre and gym in portarlington for the last month and I find it great. I have only been there first thing in the morning but there are loads of equipment and friendly staff.

Eh you haven't becaue it doesn't open until 9:30 which ain't 1st thing in the morning if you want to work out/swim before work.

I had to go to portlaoise if i wanted a swim before work.

Ya, I find that very strange I must say. I meant first thing as in first possible time. Every other gym I've been with was open at 6.30-7.00.

The new gym/pool in Roscrea (could be a bit of a trek dependin wer in Laois you are) opens at 7 mon, wed, fri. Its generally kept very clean & most of the staff there are nice (2 or 3 right #*^@> but ull pro have that anywer). Also fairly quiet most of the time so no need to que for anything!
