Surge will be taking over this lovely venue again for some underground shenanigans.

In the basement we are delighted to host Dave Sumner AKA FUNCTION as you would better know him.

He has been DJing and making music for over 15 years. Hailing from New York, he was seduced by techno music when Jeff Mills held a residency (as well as his own first) at the Limelight in the early 90s. Dave started to produce music and from the mid-90s onwards, put out music on Damon Wild's Synewave and his own Infrastructure imprint.

Together with Karl O'Connor aka Regis he worked as Portion Reform, putting out uncompromising music on Downwards and becoming the only non-Birmingham producer to release on the label.

More recently, Dave moved to Berlin and, still working with O'Connor, set up the acclaimed Sandwell District imprint.

Warming up on the night we have Jay Galligan, Jay needs little introduction he absolutely tore up Life Festival last year when warming up for Sandwell District. We are in no doubt he will do the same on this night. Opening up on the night we have Pogo resident Eoin Callanan.

In the box room we are delighted to get the underground sound Syndicate in to push breaks jungle and basic underground nastyness on unsuspecting ravers. Don Rosco ,Luke badman Deego and residents will be spinning in there.

Up in the cafe The Irish Roots Army will be showcasing their lovely 7" collection and Dj Fishyfinger will be setting the tone with his collection of rock,80,s and dancefloor classics

on the stage we have mutefish,Mutefish started as a busking project in streets of Dublin, with loads of people coming and going, and the first tunes were written long before the name was chosen. The necessity for the name came when the first demo 'Zeby To Bylo Spoko' was recorded in Summer 2007. at that time it was a three piece band - Bogus (Poland) on guitar, Marka (Lithuania) on Cajon and Vaclav (Czech Republic) on mandolin. The name was chosen partly as a joke, reffering to Vaclav who always said he feels like a mute fish in ireland because he couldn't speak any english.

After conciderable success busking in Galway arts festival the band took a one year break because Bogus needed to go back to Poland to finish his degree. On summer 2008 the guys met again in Dublin to shake Galway arts festival once more. Right after the new year the bass player Tomas (Lithuania) joined and only a few months later Vaclav left the band, and Mutefish was on pause again. The trio started a surf music side project (the Braconniers) and carried on under this flag till june when drummer Peter (Ukraine) and flute player Daithi (Ireland) joined and mutefish were revived.

In the summer OF 2009 Mutefish recorded another demo 'Muteation' which gets them from the streets to the pub scene of Dublin and the band started to appear in Irish music festivals. may 2010 Mutefish lock themselves in Temple lane studio to record a new album, 'On Draught' but due to several reasons it's release is delayed till november. the album launch is being held to the full house in prestisious Dublin venue Button Factory as a part of 'where the Mugic Happens' event
