^^This, and also failed paper 1 which means Leaving Cert for me = FAILED :(:( Absolutely gutted.

Failing maths does not mean failing the leaving cert. Some colleges let you do an entrance exam in August/September if you've failed maths, and some don't need you to have passed maths at all.
If my Biology and Physics exams go smoothly now I will be the happiest girl in the world. :D (I'd also like German to go smoothly, but hey, you can't get everything you want in life :pac: )

    What?! :P

How much is Paper 1 and 2 worth individualy ?

    I think this is it:

    Paper 1: 160/600 = 26.67% (Including the 10% for the aural)

    Paper 2: 200/600 = 33.33%

Yup, double checked it there, that's it.

Wish Paper 2 had less marks.

I think this is it (if the total marks is 600, that is):

    Paper 2: 200/600 = 33.33%

That only adds up to about 55% though instead of 60.

Close enough! My exam papers say that paper 1 is 27% and paper 2 is 33% :)

Nah I added it up wrong the first time, it all adds up now! :) Turns out it did add up to 60%. :pac:

Biology question for ye there, in an investigation to find the effects of water, oxygen and temperature on germination what ones should have germination at the end? Is it only the one with all conditions present?
I wasn't in when we did the experiment (please don't report me to the SEC)

Yes of course. Oxygen, water and heat are essential to germination.

I thought there might have been a little germination in another, one being a rebel or something.
Thanks reznov, I'll dedicate my A1 to you :)

That's what I want to hear. sad there is no transferring points between students! That'd be some system.

Don't say heat , say suitable temperature! I learned that the hard way...

Well 2 exams gone and im 100% certain i got around 90/100 points.....
now i have another 5 to get at least 260 from =/....and with me not knowing enough biology im starting to think i wont get it =/....

Well...im guaranteed of an A1 in higher russian...so i guess thats 160 points from 4..but again...you can make it 3 since im almost certain im failing biology....and one of the 3 is ordinary :S good god im so scared :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 921 ✭✭✭reznov

Yes say suitable temperature, but just in general, those are the three factors required for germination.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,840 ✭✭✭Luno

Suitable temperature seems awful complex but I'll remember it. Imagine this experiment came up, I'd silently cry and think of you all :)

I feel like maths was my last ever exam. I've still 3 to go...
I have business to study , it's so boring when you're learning everything in it.
Even though this will be in my course next year. I hope I get an A/B it'll be awkward applying for a course with business and having a low business grade.
I really hope business doesn't throw in any random new questions on Thursday.

    I'm so glad I don't do Biology. :o

  • Registered Users Posts: 921 ✭✭✭reznov

Business may not be so standard this year.

Mostly it is but you never know this year. They might put on a few new questions . I really hope q7 stays the same with it being marketing. I hope the business plan isn't up for the abq.

I am immensely glad I took the foundation maths paper this year :pac: that wasn't actually bad at all, knew most of what was on it, wrote down the formula's, showed working out, reasonably confident I got it right.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,840 ✭✭✭Luno

Lads, wasn't it one of ye made the Leaving Cert memes page? It's at like a thousand likes! Procrastination at it's finest.

Does anybody know if the poetry question will appear under the headings in the sec sample?
