    THIS SATURDAY FOLKS

Surge will be taking over this lovely venue again for some underground shenanigans.

In the basement we are delighted to host Dave Sumner AKA FUNCTION as you would better know him.

He has been DJing and making music for over 15 years. Hailing from New York, he was seduced by techno music when Jeff Mills held a residency (as well as his own first) at the Limelight in the early 90s. Dave started to produce music and from the mid-90s onwards, put out music on Damon Wild's Synewave and his own Infrastructure imprint.

Together with Karl O'Connor aka Regis he worked as Portion Reform, putting out uncompromising music on Downwards and becoming the only non-Birmingham producer to release on the label.

More recently, Dave moved to Berlin and, still working with O'Connor, set up the acclaimed Sandwell District imprint.

Warming up on the night we have Jay Galligan, Jay needs little introduction he absolutely tore up Life Festival last year when warming up for Sandwell District. We are in no doubt he will do the same on this night. Opening up on the night we have Pogo resident Eoin Callanan.

In the box room we are delighted to get the underground sound Syndicate in to push breaks jungle and basic underground nastyness on unsuspecting ravers. Don Rosco ,Luke badman Deego and residents will be spinning in there.

Up in the cafe The Irish Roots Army will be showcasing their lovely 7" collection and Dj Fishyfinger will be setting the tone with his collection of rock,80,s and dancefloor classics
