My girlfriend is from the states and is sound, met another one a few years ago for awhile grand too:).

Annoying, the lot of them.
Immature and insecure. If they snog/shag someone on a first date or have a one night stand, they spend the next 6 months in a state of paranoid terror wondering if the world will think they're a slut.
The only decent ones are the ones who've done a bit of travelling and even they are guarded because they seem to spend the entire conversation apologising for their dumb countryfolk.

I used to live there and despite the one-size fits all that many people seem to think applies to countries have found that they're as varied in manner and mentality as women of any other country.

Agreed. I found people of both genders especially friendly when I was there, especially when they heard my accent.
I was quite taken aback the first few times people stopped me in the street to tell me they liked my t-shirt (I had lovely t-shirts when I was very young)

I know one American girl. She's really nice, down to earth and friendly. Also I found New Yorkers to be really friendly in general when I was over there.

stupid comment, i never said they were representative of all american people but a part of it, and yes the travellers represent a part of irish people, as do skangers, D4 types, keyboard warriors etc.

the type of young college kids or even just normal american kids in the video are a larger part of american society than the travellers are in the irish.

no doubt the drugs would get a honourable and well deserved mention out there too

but i think american's from new york & california would identify which each more than people from ireland & poland for example.
