My mam was lying in bed one night a few months back and woke in the middle of the night upon hearing me say "mam, mam". When she sat up, she swears, as clear as day that she saw me standing in the doorway. Obviously I disappeared at some point because she got up to check in on me and found me fast asleep in my bed. I can't think of what this might have been. Can anyone offer an explanation? No sceptics please.

I'm sure she was dreaming. You must be worrying her. What are you up to?

Believe me, I'm not someone who falls through the door at all hours. I don't drink and I rarely socialise. I'm always home before midnight :)

Astral Projection or an out of body experience were you soul / spirit / energy etc. left your body while you were asleep.

The more likely options though are either she dreamed she saw you or you slept walked.

Sound like a lucid dream ( although not lucid enough to realise one is actually still dreaming )

It's called a False awakening and I've had it a few times interesting but not paranormal :)

I've also had it a few times.

Many years ago my sister woke up to see me at her bedroom door. I was miles away- living in Holland at the time. It was so real, that she mentioned it to my mother next morning, asking her did I arrived home for a surprise visit.

She simply had a dream that you were calling her and when she woke it took her brain a few seconds to wake up from the dream so she thought you were actually standing there. Nothing strange or paranormal about it at all; just a leftover dream artifact.

I had his happen to me before when I was younger. I woke up to find my best friend playing with my lego in my room. After a few seconds when "I came round" he wasnt in my room at all, my brother was tho.

This happened to my mother in the middle of the day. She was watching the TV when my sister walked into the room and stood on fron of the tv, while fixing her hair. My mother was just about to tell her to move out of the way when she realised my sister was not home. And with that she was gone...
My mother still talks about it - she swears she wasn't sleeping. She wasn't even thinking about my sister when she saw her, so she can't explain it. We thought it was a bad omen but thankfully nothing bad happened.
