Hey all, im just wondering if anybody has any advise for me,, i brought my little colt in for NCT test this morning, turns out the chassis numbers dont match,(diff on car and log book), they are out by 1 digit.. ive been on the phone the last hour to the transport department and ive been put onto automated ****e that leads no where and i got put hold twice at 10 mins a time.. I got hold of a guy who wasnt working for that department but he emailed them with my details and they are due to get back to me,, what i want to know is, what do i do if the car is dodgy,, its a perfect little run around and ive just pumped 350 euro into it this week to get it right for testing.. can i re register the car?? any help would be great..

If its 1 digit out, its not dodgy. It more than likely the idiots who entered the data on first registration that made an error. They make a fair few errors it has to be said. Still a pain in the arse to get it sorted Im sure.

Ring Mitsubishi and find out what the correct chassis number is for your reg, or vice versa.

If your reg and chassis number match, then you know who make the error.
