what to plant in half barrel containers

just working on our garden at the moment and I have bought 2 lovely half barrel plant pots. They will be placed in the middle of a garden which gets the sun the best part of the day. I would like to buy plants that would be evergreen but would give some colour in the summer and also something that would come up every year.…
