Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Component (YPbPr) cable for Apple TV

I've an Apple TV at the moment but my main set isn't HD.

I'm looking to find a way to connect the two and the most obvious way of doing that seems to be through a component cable, however I'm getting mixed reports as to whether that will work at all (and having a hard time finding a HDMI-Component cable too).

Can anyone tell me if they've tried it and what the results are? Will I need a converter box too? Even with that is it still prone to problems?

I've got a second set in my bedroom that has HDMI so I'm still getting use out of it - it would be nice to be able to hook it up to my main TV, though.

    Thanks in advance.

HDMI is digital, component is analogue. That's why you can't find a cable. You'd need a converter. Then you'd have to get around HDCP in order to play iTunes content.

It's more trouble than it's worth.

Sounds like it! Thanks. I'll stick to watching it on the smaller TV until I invest in a new set for the sitting room.
