A friend got a nokia c1 01 and cannot turn off the keypad tones. When on that selection the options disappears

Also can it be made to connect to their home lan wi fi? To a free wi wi in a shop or just the meteor internet

And when they put in their sim card their contacts are there but not the messages sent from old phone. old phone was very old and did not have choice to save to phone only card

Hold down the hash # key, this will mute the volume, this handset is does not support WiFi or 3G so connecting to the internet is a not going to happen, if your friend spent €20 to €30 more they'd get a handset to this, the C1-01 is very basic.

I don't think so. A Personal Area Network usually allows you to use the phone's data connection with the PC, not the other way around.

A phone that basic using Opera Mini wouldn't use that much data in any case.
